A collaborative project with Schools and Ngā Hau e Whā. The purpose of the Project is to explain the Science of Learning and the Science of Reading approaches following neuroscience research into how we acquire literacy skills and the practical application of this knowledge.
NME is a developmentally sensitive, neurobiology-informed approach to clinical problem-solving. Developed by Dr. Bruce D. Perry, MD, PhD, it integrates core principles of neurodevelopment and traumatology to inform work with mokopuna, whānau, and the communities in which they live.

A range of practical activities has been curated into a "kete" for teachers and schools to use to enhance and strengthen Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy (CSP). This kete was developed as a result of a 2025 Primary Teacher's Sabbatical, undertaken by Keryn King - RTLB Practice leader in Cluster 28, Ngā Hau e Whā, in Aotearoa NZ.
